👋 Barbara Gendron

PhD student @ LORIA, Nancy

I am a first year PhD student working in both K and SyNaLP teams at LORIA, under the supervision of Mathieu d’Aquin and Gaël Guibon. I work on improving conversational models based on Large Language Models (LLMs) through the building of a conversation-dedicated ontology.

I graduated from École des Mines de Nancy (French engineering school, Master level) and I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science from University of Luxembourg.

My main research interests revolve around Natural Language Processing. I am interested in the development of machine learning models for knowledge extraction and natural language processing, as well as in the applications of Data Science in life sciences and medicine. As an example of my previous research projects, I worked on meta-learning methods for emotion prediction in conversational context during my Master Thesis.
